Yay :) We finished up our wedding registry! I'm excited that we are doing something just a little bit different :) Instead of the traditional registry at Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, or Kohl's, we are registered at honeyfund.com. This site helps the wedding guests know where we are going on our honeymoon and lets them choose to support us on that adventure! People can give us a memory instead of a blender or something else that will just break and be thrown away. Hopefully everyone will be receptive to this idea!

***centerpieces***

well friends, i had a very enjoyable day today! i spent it with my friend katie :) first we met with a florist about our flowers. we had so much fun deciding what kind of look i want, want tj likes, and of course, what i DON'T like. ;) well, she wanted to charge me $40 per table for the centerpiece idea that i wasn't even too crazy about. so katie and i decided we would look today for some other ideas and if we didn't find anything i could always add that to the flower contract.

BUT, we found some vases and created a very exciting and original idea for centerpieces. tell me what you think. so far we have seven different vases that all fit in the red/brown category. i am going to put one vase on each table and then they'll have different "flower" type things in them. some of them will also have the bendy brown, tall stick lookin things [sorry, i don't know what they're called...] then we're going to make and find all sorts of different picture frames that also fit in this color scheme and then on the tables we're going to put pictures from our engagement and whatever else up all around the vases... doesn't that sound so cute??? :) i'm super excited because i love how it looks and i love how different it will be :)

...updates....

here we are up in island park, idaho. this is the second day we rode and we had such a blast! i definitely preferred this ride because we found an open play area where there were some jumps and tons of fresh powder. i even took a jump! everyone was so impressed that i was brave enough to jump the machine i was on....

i guess ignorance really is bliss ;)

fortunately, no major injuries happened this time... well at least not to tj. this girl nikki who went and really intelligently decided to go on a night ride {even though she has night blindness} crashed into a tree and got a concussion and banged up her leg really good. she even busted up her machine silly girl...

anyway, other than that we had a blast! i'm super excited for next year! :) every year we go just seems to get better! :)

on another note, tomorrow i am going to meet with the florist about wedding flowers. so far, we have booked the church, i found my dress, and we sent out save the date cards. i feel like we're doing pretty well so far. we still have about 200 days until our wedding but i'm sure that will go by so so fast! eek! :) i have been looking at ideas all over the place and am hoping things will come together just right! my favorite thing about the wedding is that we are going to have pies instead of traditional cake! i'm so excited to be different lol what's new right :)

i'm also working on some other surprises, but since they are surprises i can't tell ya all about them ;) sorry! :)

well anyway, most of you are probably pretty aware of the fact that tj and i are getting married! :) as of january 16 we are officially engaged!

we are planning on being married on september 25, 2010 in ogden ut. we're going to get married at my old church, the log cabin one it's going to be amazing! just imagine in your head log cabin, leaves changing color, me in a stunning dress, tj looking dashing in his suit ;) yes yes it's going to be mah-valous dahling simply mah-valous :) i am really excited and so far all the plans are coming along so so well it really encourages me that we are doing what is supposed to be :)

other than that we're a pretty boring happily in love couple! we were getting some of our engagement pictures taken on monday and we nearly died. unfortunately, for once in my life i am completely serious. we were on a train bridge in taggart [i now realize the stupidity of that choice] when all of a sudden i looked back at tj and saw a train. instead of politely informing him that there was a train coming his way about to run him over, i simply started running. this strange behavior confused tj, since i rarely run, particularly with such enthusiasm. as a result of this, he looked back and seeing the train yelled, "TRAIN!" to which i replied I KNOW!!! oh my goodness i was terrified.

word of advice kids, don't play on train bridges. there is a very likely chance you will be run over. and die.

okie doke boys and girls.... let me just tell you a lil something about myself.

i am not sympathetic.

just thought i'd let you know. someone might should inform the boyfriend ;) ok so tj has been "ill" since oh last wednesday. maybe even tuesday. i say "ill" instead of ill because he has a sore throat and cold. i am sorry but it's a cold. you take medicine and keep on truckin'.... apparantly i am an evil dictator girlfriend who also ruins lives. after calling in sick with a freaking cold for the fourth day in a row [plus two days over the weekend] i told him if he's home sick again he isn't going to play the wii and he's going to help me clean. ha. that happened.

anyway, it made me realize that i'm going to be the mean parent in the family. sorry hypothetical kiddos. you're screwed! just remember not to ask me when you want something. haha.

i also have a pretty good feeling he'll be going to work tomorrow :)

well here we are! and my how things have changed!

i hope to stay on top of blogging this year! i anticipate a lot of exciting things are going to happen!!! however, since i haven't posted in a hecka long time, let's have a rundown on the end of 2009....

on october 19, tj aka mr. ridl returned from afghanistan and since that day we have been glued at the hip. i mean it is ridiculous. nauseating. umm... yucky. i don't know what else to call it. all i know is i never thought i would be like this. i also never thought i would be this happy! :) YAY! well so far we've gone to a snowmobile show, wendover!, cabela's [like a million times] and in-n-out! of course we've had other small adventures but those are the majors! i am so so so excited to see where this is going! everyone get ready lol! :) anywho.... hm. guess that's it. i'm with tj. and loving it!

other than that... steph is moving back to montana which means i get to move back in with the parents........ umm... a lil nervous about that but i'm sure it'll work out ok. i'll be able to get my debt paid off and start school. those are my priorities so the rest will just have to work out!

as far as 2010 is concerned, here's what we've got planned so far! in february tj and i are going to a jazz game {vs the mavericks... who are going to kick the jazz's heineys of course!} then a couple weeks after that we're going to island park idaho for a snowmobile trip! we'll be gone for four days three nights and it's going to be quite the adventure! i am very excited because tj got me a "snomobile ensemble" so i'll look like a pro. and then i'll be driving along and fall so that will be embarassing... oh well! :) also, in july we are going to california for my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary which we all know is a big deal. i also have a friend getting married in iowa that we might go to..... so i guess really there aren't as many as i made it seem like. but it's going to be amazing!!!! wooooo! haha...

as far as work ugh. that's all there is to say. just sick of drunkies doing stupid things and hurting themselves and then boo-hooing to me! don't be an idiot and you'll be ok.

goals for this year:
1. make pillow therapy an acceptable practice on difficult patients
2. maintain current weight. {losing is too much work}
3. be happy.

wishing everyone else a year that is as amazing as mine will be! ;)

alrighty, well seein' as it's been 17 days since i posted something.... here goes nothing!

my dad and sister finally came home! they were gone entirely too long! also, the pregnant one should be moving out her crap soon! thank goodness! and everything else is about the same. i have been practicing cooking and other such "housely" duties... it's fun. ish. kinda. eh.

the past while at work has been wretched! the nights drag on and then *bam* we get an admit at the most inconvenient time! and then i'm stuck doing the nurses work! grr. double grr. anywho, i recently joined the damn twitter bandwagon. i feel like such a goon. but it actually is pretty enticing darn it all!!!!!
